Tips for having a Beautiful Budget-Friendly Wedding

Updated: Mar 19, 2023

Are you getting married and want a showstopping yet budget-conscious wedding for others to admire? Here are some tips to achieve your vision while spending modestly.

Consider a Micro Wedding

Micro weddings are a trend that grew in popularity when Covid-19 was at its height and consist of fewer guests than usual. Though it is different for everyone, those who choose to have a micro wedding, invite no more than 20-50 guests in total to their wedding, cutting the costs immensely.

Incorporate DIY Decor/ Second-Hand Pieces

Do-it-yourself decorations have long been a part of the wedding scene and for a good reason: they save a lot of money. If you have the time, it may be worth doing some research to figure out where you should focus your creativity. For an expensive look, use quality materials and follow tutorials to ensure your decor looks professional.

Taking a trip to a thrift store may be worth it if you want to save money on your wedding. Second-hand stores often have vintage furniture, glassware, and decor in great condition that will likely be inexpensive and look great.

Create (and stick to) a Budget

When beginning the wedding planning process, make your budget a priority. If you research and outline your ideal budget, you can keep this in mind as your wedding comes together. Prioritizing what is most important to both of you is the key to staying on track as you plan.
